Margot Yeomans

Margot is an independent researcher with a PhD in Art History. Her topic reflected her interest in textiles, ‘Lace-makers in Art in 17th century Holland’. Her real love, though, is embroidery. She is a practicing embroiderer, has a Certificate in Art and Design for Embroiderers and has had many solo and joint exhibitions. Until Covid hit she was a reviewer for textile exhibitions for the magazine Textile Fibre Forum.

Her most recent embroidery was working in collaboration with fashion design student, Rosanna Li, who was doing her MA in digital fashion – a magical project.

Margot’s current research is on fashion dolls and their history from the fifteenth century to the nineteenth century.
